Story Summary :

A Room 10′ × 8′, the story is based on a theme “Generation Gap” which is arising asan unpropitious sign in friendly texture. Mrs. Malik, an ordinary housewife, was Mr. Malik enthused about building her fantasy house in an affluent colony of Delhi.was having adaptable job. Mrs. Malik had chosen to remain in Delhi solely after their home got built on the grounds that she was tired of postings. She demanded having acredible store to the size of 10′ × 8′. She believed that this room could be utilized byher mother-in-law, and once she left this world, it was to be utilized as storeroom. Mr. Malik, who was unconscious of her arrangement, acknowledged the proposition.Mrs. Malik took an unmistakable fascination for its construction. She directed everysingle detail. A sculpture of a woman of house inclining toward the column waslikewise consolidated. At the point when they were going to move to their new house,the property was gained by the government authority. Hence, Mrs. Malik got irate,however later turned out to be calm in the wake of realizing the lease to be paid tothem in lieu of this dominating.

 

After certain years, Mr. Malik was posted in Delhi once more. In any case, Mrs.Malik’s mother-in-law took the final gasp. Her child got married; Mrs. Malik became mother-in-law to this new lady.
